Is This You?

SoftWave Is Probably Worth a Look If Any of These Sound Familiar.

Most people who end up here have already tried two or three other things. See how many of these you recognize.

You've had joint or tendon pain for months and it isn't getting better on its own.
You finished a course of physical therapy and the pain came back.
Cortisone helped for a while, then stopped helping.
Someone has mentioned surgery and you'd rather exhaust the alternatives first.
You're managing it with anti-inflammatories most days and you don't want to keep doing that.
You've quietly stopped doing something you used to enjoy because of it.

One of them is enough.

You don't need to commit to a treatment plan to find out. The $69 Discovery Session exists so you can get assessed, get treated once, and see how your body actually responds before deciding anything.

What You're Actually Getting

It's Not Massage. It's a Repair Signal.

A handheld applicator sits on the painful area and sends low-intensity acoustic waves several centimeters down into the tissue. Those waves do two things at once: they open up blood flow to an area that has been starved of it, and they trigger the migration of your body's own stem cells to the damaged site.

That's the part that matters. Painkillers and cortisone turn the alarm off. This is closer to sending a repair crew. It's also why the effect keeps building for weeks after a session rather than wearing off by evening.

Broad-focused, not a narrow trigger point
No numbing, no needles, no incision
Five to ten minutes on the table
Drive yourself home, go back to work
Works alongside chiropractic care
An option when other care has stalled

Your First Visit

Forty-Five Minutes, Start to Finish.

No mystery about what you're walking into. Here's the whole visit.

1 · You talk, he listens

What hurts, how long, what you've already tried, and what you can't do anymore because of it. This part is not rushed.

2 · Hands-on assessment

Dr. Hansen examines the area to confirm SoftWave is the right tool for it. If it isn't, he'll tell you so at this point.

3 · Your first session

Same visit, not a follow-up. Five to ten minutes with the applicator on the area. You stay dressed and you stay awake.

4 · A straight answer

Roughly how many sessions your case needs, what it costs, and what he expects to happen. Then you decide. Nobody chases you.

Who's Treating You

The Machine Is Only Half of It. The Other Half Is Who's Holding It.

SoftWave devices are showing up in a lot of clinics right now. What they don't all come with is thirty years of hands-on diagnostic experience deciding where to put it and when not to bother.

Dr. Chris Hansen opened his West Babylon practice in 1996, the same year he graduated from Life University. He got into this because chiropractic care fixed his own compression fracture and herniated disc after conventional medicine offered him nothing. He has been nominated for Best of Long Island every year since 2012.

Still stuck on something? Call (631) 321-5400 and ask. Phones are answered around the clock.

Three things, in about 45 minutes. Dr. Hansen sits down with you and goes through your history and what you've already tried. He performs a hands-on SoftWave assessment of the painful area to confirm you're a candidate. Then you receive your first SoftWave session that same visit, so you leave knowing how your body responded rather than just hearing about it.
Most devices are radial or focused shockwave, which concentrate energy on a narrow point. SoftWave uses patented broad-focused electrohydraulic technology, which spreads the wave across a wider, deeper treatment zone. That matters because you're trying to reach a whole injured area, not one trigger point, and it's why sessions are short and don't require numbing.
Many patients notice a change within the first one to three sessions, often as reduced stiffness before reduced pain. A full course is typically eight to twelve sessions depending on how long you've had the injury. Dr. Hansen tells you at the assessment roughly where you fall, and if he doesn't think SoftWave will help you he'll say so.
No. There's no downtime, no bracing, and no activity restriction. Most people go straight back to work or the gym. Some feel mild soreness in the treated area for a day, similar to the day after a hard workout, which is a normal part of the healing response.
Then you'll be told that at the assessment rather than sold a package. SoftWave isn't appropriate during pregnancy, over active cancer in the treatment area, or with a pacemaker, and some conditions respond better to chiropractic care or another approach. Dr. Hansen has been practicing in West Babylon since 1996 and would rather point you somewhere useful than treat something that won't respond.
